The plot was exactly what I was expecting and when the inevitable conflict happens, I was rooting for Maggie 100%. I was thrilled to see that she stuck to her decisions, no matter what. Of form there'due south a HEA and an epilogue that couldn't have been better if it tried.

This has set the bar high for other contemps and is definitely my new favorite Miranda book.

This was a YA contemporary romance featuring a best-friends to lovers storyline.

I really liked Maggie in this and I felt really sorry for her when she was bullied by another swimmer. I also liked Levi, and the chemistry between them was really good.

The storyline in this was about Maggie asking Levi to teach her how to claw-up, and them then discovering that their feelings for each other went deeper than friendship. The romance was actually sweet, and Maggie and Levi made a bully couple. I also liked how there were a couple of funny moments in the book as well, like when Maggie's dad defenseless her buying condoms – talk about mortifying!

The ending to this was pretty good, and I liked that things worked out for Maggie and Levi.

Kenneally's Hundred Oaks series is i of my favourite YA Gimmicky series, of all time! I simply adore her story telling, and immediately started the concluding book in the serial as soon as it became available on NetGalley. In Coming Upwards For Air, Maggie has next to no time for a personal life. Everything revolves around pond, and her hope that she will one day qualify for the U.s.a. Olympic squad. It helps that her best friend, Levi, is in the same position, and so neither feel guilty when they think well-nigh swimming. Withal, Maggie starts to realise she hasn't had a 'normal' high school experience, and wants to explore life as a teenage girl. Ane trouble, though, as she starts to explore this side of life, her feelings about Levi shortly alter to something much more than friendship.

This book is my favourite of the whole serial, easily downward! I just loved Maggie then much. She was the perfect MC, and really relatable, though I have no inclination to sports or Olympic dreams. I couldn't put the book downward as soon every bit I picked information technology up, and devoured it in one sitting.

Maggie and Levi'southward relationship was smooth, and felt natural from day one. Their progression from best friends to lovers never felt rushed or forced, and it was completely swoony. The way they cared for each other, and didn't want to jeopardise their friendship was what endeared them the near to me.

Yes, there were moments when the plot was a bit predictable, but non and then much that it meant the book wasn't enjoyable. Even now, I am already planning on re-reading Coming Up For Air, and look frontward to more from Kenneally in the future. If you haven't read whatsoever of the books in this serial nevertheless, I can't recommend them enough!

It is pretty much drama free, even though at that place is personal or human relationship struggle, the characters are mature for their age, in that location is comunication (even though sometimes they have no idea what they really want), this is too a book I would too recommend to teens that feel pressured both socially and "professionally ".. there is so much I loved nigh this book, I am immensely happy and thankful to be given the risk to read it now.

And the epilogue, it'due south all back to the kickoff and information technology is beautiful!

If you enjoyed the other companion novels you will admire this one.
If you lot are new to the serial I suggest y'all to start with Catching Jordan, the first one in the 'series', fifty-fifty though this book can work very well every bit a standalone. I didn't read all the books either and I all the same loved Coming Up for Air to pieces!

So Maggie turns to Levi for help. After all, her best friend is well-versed in randomly hooking upwardly with girls at swim meets, then she asks him to teach her to hook upwardly. Maggie doesn't think anything will go wrong with this plan--and that the two tin can maintain their close friendship. Merely is that really the case? And can Maggie notwithstanding focus on the nearly important year of her pond career?

I've read a few other books in Kenneally's Hundred Oaks series and really enjoyed them: they are only fun, escapist YA novels. For me, this one wasn't quite up to the others I've read, though I enjoyed the second half more than the first. It took me a long time to get into the story and the characters. The "learn to hook up" premise for the plot was a shaky one, and I missed the main focus on sport and relationships than seem to be the hallmark of Kenneally's other novels. While this genre of book is often a fleck predictable, the kickoff half of this 1 was ridiculously so, and it was a little painful to read at times.

Luckily, I found the second half more than in the usual Hundred Oaks manner, and I did detect myself getting into Maggie and Levi'south story more. Maggie irritated me a bit from time to time, but she takes more than control over her own life decisions in the 2d half of the story. I liked Levi a lot and the 2's friendship. The second half also centers more on her competitive pond career, which I enjoyed (the focus on dissimilar sports in this serial is always a fun, added bear on). Yous can't assistance but savor the romance aspect and get sucked in--information technology'due south just a strength of Kenneally's and she does it so well. Overall, while not my favorite of the Hundred Oaks novels, this was a cute book and a fun read, though not the usual quick escape that I was expecting.

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher and Netgalley (thank you!); it is available everywhere as of 07/01/2017.

Y'all tin can read my reviews of two other books in the serial hither: BREATHE, ANNIE, BREATHE and DEFENDING TAYLOR.

Coming Up For Air checks all the YA romance boxes, and I enjoyed it. It's a pretty straightforward story. What you read in the blurb is what you become.

Maggie is a competitive swimmer who wants an Olympic tryout spot. Her best friend, Levi already has a spot and Maggie is working overtime to get in too. Even with that goal, Maggie is still a teenager. Aye, she has dreams almost making information technology into the Olympics but she also wants to experience the full high school experience.

That's where the conflict of this book comes in because to qualify for the Olympics, Maggie would accept to sacrifice a lot more than of her fourth dimension to achieve her goal. And her growing feelings for her best friend Levi is not helping. So in that location's also the re-appearance of her fiercest rival. So everything is getting overwhelming for Maggie real fast.

Coming Up for Air is told entirely in Maggie's POV, and similar her previous books, the romance is light and clean. It doesn't take eye stage but information technology'southward not relegated to the sidelines either. I loved Maggie'due south human relationship with Levi, Hunter and Georgia. And I also enjoyed Parker'southward cameo in this book as sort of a mentor to Maggie. That was great.

This is clean YA, meaning in that location's no open sexual encounters between the hero and the heroine. Information technology'southward at that place and it happened just it's fade-to-black, which is fine actually.

Yep, that's correct. Hundred Oaks is done, according to Miranda Kenneally's Twitter feed.  Her final book in the series, Coming Up For Air, is all near firsts simply it also takes a expect back to where it all started.

Maggie King has been swimming towards the Olympic trials almost the unabridged 17+ years of her life.   With her all-time friend Levi Lucassen by her side the entire way, they both train hard almost every day.  The one break... Friday nights with their other ii best friends, Georgia and Hunter, both also athletes of their own rights.  They all gather at the local Jiffy Burger and discuss their love lives, their families, and their time to come plans.

Maggie has the "future plans" part all figured out.  But listening to her friends, she realizes that she may have missed out on some high school experiences.  Specifically, the "hooking up" function.  And she'south worried her inexperience will show once she gets to college.

I really went into this story totally forgetting what information technology was near and I didn't read the synopsis to refresh my memory.  If yous tin can, I highly recommend you do that because it really is a sugariness, surprising dear story.  No affair, Ms. Kenneally put a unique spin on a story trope I love.  But she made this story new!  In Coming Upwards For Air, she blended a few different ideas and it really worked in the overall storytelling.

I would like to briefly betoken out that even though this story takes place during Senior year in high school, the sexual content makes me not want to recommend this book to anyone much younger than that.  I'm such a mom sometimes....

Subsequently eight books, I remember Ms. Kenneally has her regimen down for writing a good volume.  Okay, okay... I take simply 1 other volume of hers to compare information technology to, Communicable Jordan.  Just that kind of works, correct?

Being a immature adult contemporary romance, Ms. Kenneally paced this story well.  Told entirely from Maggie'southward POV, the book is a very quick read with curt, succinct scenes that never dawdle or lose the reader.  I detest being bored in a romance with an introspective character...  blech!!  None of that here!!  We get romance, turmoil, and exciting swim races.  Perfect for the young adult reader...  or someone like me who needed a lazy summer day distraction :)

You don't have to have read any of the other stories in the Hundred Oaks series to enjoy this ane.  Ms. Kenneally uses new characters in this story and sets upwardly the world, the characters, and the plot all quickly for the reader in the start couple of chapters.  Not having read whatever of the previous books means you just miss out on the references to characters in previous books.

... and yous miss out on the true consequence of the surprising and "awe"-inspiring epilogue that wraps upward the series with a squeamish pretty bow.

Would you be surprised if there wasn't??

I'1000 abandoning this at nearly 70% mark, though "without prejudice" (i.due east. rating). It's really well-written and the characters are very well-depicted. And with a setting and story that are interesting.

But this is a story of sexual discovery (non different Judy Bloom's Forever . . .) just in a modern world where the higher hook-up culture has clearly penetrated the American High Schoolhouse. And that depresses me. Kenneally is an outstanding writer so she is neither condemning nor condoning that development. She'due south merely letting it play out in her characters. And that works for both skillful and ill, about like you'd expect with people just discovering themselves. And no, I don't mean that it's all loss and devastation, because it isn't. And I don't hateful that it's all hugs and kittens, because it isn't that, either.

And I'm talking myself into circles because while I admire the talent and the art and I'm glad authors exist who tin can accept on this kind of story and do and so honestly and with care (and without at all beingness as heavy as I'm making information technology audio) . . . it's nonetheless not a story I'm interested in experiencing even though I liked the characters and my eye broke for their pain and rejoiced in their victories.

Although the romance was perfect (who else loves the "all-time friends to something more" trope?), I was absolutely enthralled with Maggie's competitive swimming world.

Maggie is trying to qualify for the Olympics. Her entire life is eating and swimming. Her only free time involves hanging out at the local burger place on Friday night with her three closest friends, Georgia, Hunter and Levi. Levi is her best friend and the most agreement of her schedule as he is a competitive swimmer equally well. As Maggie lives vicariously through her friend'due south lives she realises that she may be missing out of the quintessential loftier school "feel". After a disastrous hook-upward Maggie decides to enquire Levi to help her gain some experience before heading off to college. Afterwards he hesitantly agrees the line between friendship and something more becomes blurry.

The healthy sex attitude in the novel blew me abroad. The style the characters, and peculiarly i of the teachers, approached sex was really well done. It wasn't something to be ashamed of. It wasn't this crazy secretive matter. No 1 pretended that teenagers don't want to experiment and have sex activity. It was realistic and healthy and just normal. A real jiff of fresh air in the YA world and I have to applaud Kenneally for that.

Fifty-fifty if you didn't love Kenneally'southward other novels, I would still recommend this. Kenneally does an astonishing task of showing u.s.a. Maggie's intense routine and it was hard not to adore Maggie'due south passion and determination. It really does amaze me that there are people out there this defended to their sport.

Now I am going to have to go back and read the rest of the Hundred Oak series!

I've read 5 of Miranda Kenneally'southward Hundred Oaks books, but Coming Up for Air is the only one that'south e'er been absolutely unputdownable for me. I don't know if it'southward the actually amazing friendship/human relationship between protagonist Maggie King and best friend/swimming partner Levi Lucassen, the sex activity positivity, the descriptions of thetraining needed for the Olympics, or the accented steaminess of the romance…

Ok, look, who am I kidding, it'south definitely the steamy romance. This book smolders with the main characters' encounters – equal parts banter, long-fourth dimension friendship, and incredibly sexy moments.

What I loved most this volume was how naturally Maggie and Levi went from friends to lovers – and how honest information technology was nearly the confusion of commencement having feelings for someone. Add to that the focus needed to get an Olympic athlete and it'south a lot of pressure level to try to sort out a human relationship.

I too loved how much Maggie was the instigator for everything considering she was sexually curious and ready to explore physical love. She wanted experience before going to college – simply she also wanted to feel prophylactic while getting that feel. Obviously, this provides for some pretty steamy scenes. And fifty-fifty more manifestly, things go complicated when Maggie and Levi start to have feelings for each others.

Kenneally has always been a huge proponent of writing sex activity positive teenagers, merely never more so than in this volume. I loved how Coming Upward for Air encouraged her to explore and do what felt good to to her, safely. I loved that all of the girls in the book were only as interested in the concrete side of honey as the boys were. It's so realistic, feminist, and honest.

As someone who loves sports romances, and especially loves swimming, I found this volume to be then skilful at balancing both. The swimming descriptions, in detail, were fascinating and never felt heavy or weighty with exposition. I enjoyed seeing the characters preparing for such large challenges.

I also really loved the secondary characters in this book – from Maggie'south parents, to athlete friends Hunter and Georgia, to the swim team friends. Everyone in this book really feels rounded, and because of that, every scene felt compelling and necessary. Even though the central theme of this book is around the dichotomy of focus and conclusion vs losing oneself in a relationship, the little moments that Maggie has with her friends at the local Jiffy Burger, or the talks with her parents at their party planning business made this volume come up alive for me.

THE Terminal Discussion:

If I'm existence objective, I retrieve Breathe, Annie, Breathe is all the same the all-time book of the Hundred Oaks series. But I think Coming Up for Air is the well-nigh tightly written of the series, and the 1 that really says what Miranda Kenneally wanted to say with this serial. It's got a little bit of everything, from friendships to sexy romance, to feminism and sports. And since it's the final book in the series, the cameos don't hurt either.

Coming Up for Air is definitely up there as my second favorite of the Hundred Oaks series – and it might even sneak into first on further reflection.

iii.5/5

I wasn't aware going into Coming Up For Air that this was the last book in the Hundred Oaks serial. This series has been such a comforting and pleasant presence in my reading life, and then I'm sorry that it'south over. For me, these books have consistently grown meliorate and Miranda Kenneally's strength as a YA author has only improved. Coming Up For Air was a satisfying conclusion, though I'yard going to admit, it wasn't my favorite book from the author for a couple of reasons.

I don't quite get why friends-to-lovers romances aren't equally prevalent in YA. They always make for a sweet trope, and nosotros get that here in Coming Up For Air. Maggie and Levi accept a great friendship between them, that evolves into chemistry when Maggie propositions Levi to help her gain some feel when it comes to flirting, boys and sex. The foundation of their relationship was solid enough to have me rooting for them. That existence said, the romance could exist so stressful. Both of them are struggling with these new heightened feelings for each other, and there was some button and pull, that I'thousand non used to seeing in Miranda's books that I wasn't very much of a fan of, to exist honest. I guess I only wanted them to be a couple and do coupley things without giving me a headache. Coming Upward For Air is also quite sexual practice-positive, which is a tendency with Miranda Kenneally's books, i that I'k always grateful for, because she handles it with finesse. I liked how both Levi and Maggie were portrayed equally these teens who had urges and were oft horny. The sexy times scenes were touching, and done beautifully, in my opinion, not explicitly, only written in a manner that was sensitive and not all free.

For the near part, I liked the characters in Coming Up For Air. Both Maggie and Levi were likable characters, and yous want to root for them. Both their passion and struggles with pond were ane of the highlights of the volume for me. Speaking of swimming, I loved how focused the volume was on swimming – information technology's one of the just sports I happen to enjoy. Anyways back to the characters. Though I did like them, I didn't feel they were particularly memorable, mostly because they lacked a bit of depth and evolution. They weren't terrible, but but not up to the standards I take come to expect from Miranda Kenneally. I did dear all the friendships here, and how supportive these kids of each other. Information technology e'er makes me happy to come across characters with good friends, being rocks to one another.

Coming Upward For Air ended with a splendid epilogue that was an accented precious souvenir to fans of the serial – information technology was seriously PERFECT. While this installment wasn't my favorite, I'yard never non going to recommend this series. They are truly amazing coming of age stories with bang-up characters. I'chiliad excited to see where Miranda Kenneally takes readers side by side.

So I was on the fence virtually whether I should read this, especially since it was office of a series that I'd never read. But alas, it was such a fabulously pleasant surprise! Start, if you haven't read the other books, it is absolutely not a problem. I had been told this, only I had a pretty healthy level of skepticism nigh it. Also, if you lotare (or were) a swimmer, yous'll be incredibly happy to know that the swimming references are on point! I'll delve more into that in a second. Let'south talk almost what I adored, shall we?

Maggie wasawesome. She seemed so realistic to me, peculiarly as a person who did devote my whole high school career to athletics. Look, I was not Maggie-level Olympian hopeful or anything, only I was really serious about information technology. Then I understood her then much, understood how important swimming was to her, and understood how sometimes it is really, really hard to balance having a pond life and any kind of personal life, especially when you include the responsibilities of high school, and preparing for college. I loved how realistically the author portrayed Maggie's situation- and I call up so many teens would be able to relate to it. Even if you aren't/weren't an athlete, no doubt you've lived through the stress of juggling something.

As I said before, the swimming references are and then, so well washed. The writer conspicuously did her homework, non only with the basics of the sport in full general, simply in actual habits and mores of the athletes. It brought me back to that intense swimming life, and I loved it. The book discusses things like "swimcest" (which is when a swimmer engages in teammate romance), jitney-swimmer interactions, bug with jealousy, pre-run into rituals, and so much more.

The romance was then ship-worthy. I love the friends-to-lovers trope, which made information technology a huge win. Levi is her teammate, of course, and so he understands Maggie's priorities and her time constraints. Plus, they but work so well together, they play off each other perfectly!

Information technology was just an overall fun volume to read. The volume showed such a realistic glimpse into and then many of the struggles that a young scholar-athlete goes through. There was romance, friendship, and I loved that the characters were so driven. They weren't perfect past whatsoever ways, but I liked that theytried so hard and were invested in their futures.

Bottom Line: Definitely one of the all-time fluffier books, and one of the best swimming books I take ever read. I loved the story, the romance, and the characters, and now want to read the residuum of the series!

Thanks and then much for the publisher for sending me an E-ARC of this book via Netgalley - thanks over again!

I had e'er wondered almost Miranda Kenneally's books. Her name continues to crop upwardly in YA contemporary, and since I'm clearly a lover of contemporary, it seems that I should have picked upwards one of her books by now. Alas, I had yet to make it to 1 to this book. Maybe because she used a lot of sports themes in her books? Sports and YA plots really don't mix too much for me, so I tend to skip over a lot of them (therefore, skipping over a lot of Kenneally'south work). However, this one was about swimming, and I do beloved a good swim story (perhaps an earlier Michael Phelps Olympics obsession), then I idea I would finally accept the swoop (pun soooooooo intended) into her stories finally!

Swim. Eat. Shower. School. Snack. Swim. Swim. Swim. Dinner. Homework. Bed. Repeat.

All of Maggie's focus and free time is spent swimming. She's non simply striving to earn scholarships—she'due south preparation to qualify for the Olympics. Information technology helps that her best friend, Levi, is likewise on the team and cheers her on. Only Levi's already earned an Olympic attempt out, so she feels even more pressure to succeed. And it's non until Maggie'south away on a college visit that she realizes how much of the "typical" high school experience she's missed by beingness in the pool.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, Maggie decides to squeeze the most out of her senior year. First upwardly? Making out with a guy. And Levi could exist the perfect candidate. Subsequently all, they already spend a lot of time together. Simply equally Maggie slowly starts to uncover new feelings for Levi, how much is she willing to lose to win?
At that place was really naught incorrect with this book except, well, me. I have told you before that there are writing styles that I liked and writing styles that I do. I'1000 super picky virtually them, and if I'yard not vibing with it, then I'm out. This volume is a classic case of that. I really tried to get into her writing manner, but I simply didn't like it. I'm not sure how I can explicate it, but it simply didn't work for me.

I likewise felt nothing for the characters. I empathize there will exist parts in contemporaries that are slower or don't have much going on, merely I felt like I was literally sitting there at this table with the crew who I cared nothing about and was just sitting into their chat. Information technology wasn't interesting to me. And it didn't brand experience similar I needed to needed to read on correct away.

And I really didn't intendance about Maggie. She was but...there? Yep, this was only 12% of the novel, but I wanted something from her.

So, as yous tin can meet, this was me just existence picky, but I really couldn't become into this story even though I really tried (I once DNF'd a book inside 3 pages because I couldn't deal with the writing way then 12% = huge pace for this Picky Book Princess). I think a good deal of people could definitely enjoy it. No crowns since I DNF'd it and a Snow White rating!

Maggie decided to play it safe and get her "firsts" with her best friend and fellow athlete Levi. Male child did she open up up Pandora's box. I could totally see Maggie thinking she can handle a no strings attached hook up "lesson" from her BF while but to deed crazed with jealous when she sees Levi with someone else.
Equally a former child athlete, I institute this story to exist believable, Maggie and Levi were devoted to their goals only however wanted a lilliputian slice of real life sprinkled in. Good story telling. I do think the author dealt this thought in a realistic manner.

Miranda Kennealy is one of the about feminist and sex activity-positive writers out there right now. I beloved how she explores the decisions girls make and how they experience about relationships while grounding her stories in the athletics globe.

My first story by the writer but non my final. A fast read with the thrill I didn't know I was missing in my latest YA books.

Maggie has always focused on he swimming and she hadn't regretted until lately when she has a trauma of a hook-up. But the only one she can think of to teach her how to practice information technology the proper fashion is her best friend Levi. In fact, she can't cease thinking of him in also many unspeakable ways.

My get-go story by the author but non my last. A fast read with the thrill I didn't know I was missing in my latest YA books.

Maggie has e'er focused on he swimming and she hadn't regretted until lately when she has a trauma of a hook-up. But the only one she can recall of to teach her how to do it the proper way is her best friend Levi. In fact, she can't stop thinking of him in as well many unspeakable means.

This book comes with a funny story, I've been subsequently information technology for months and months only I never noticed I had been approved to read the ARC. And even though I was dying to read it, I just learned this was part of a series (and a long-running one with 8+ books in it) by the stop when nosotros get a glimpse of the hereafter from a character in the first book. Sorry I had to write this down to say I literally screamed of joy when I received this re-create and wish I could have read information technology ASAP because this was cracking.

Being honest, information technology'southward non a complete iv-star experience for I have the feeling I'll soon forget most of the plot. Simply it deserved the round-upwardly because it was a pleasure to devour this.

Fifty-fifty though, for me, Maggie is incredibly successful, and this has become a problem for me to chronicle to chief characters in books earlier, she also felt very real. With the way Kenneally described her relationship with becoming a professional swimmer, information technology was almost automatic for me to sympathise her pond equally anything I take really wanted and for which I had to give up others almost every bit pleasing. I don't know how she did it but she did and Maggie become a character I could place myself in.Except for her guts to propose that deal to Levi. Oh my, I couldn't believe I was "hearing" that.

This book is obviously for young readers merely not as well young. This deals with more than mature themes and in a more open style than most YA I've been reading. That said, I loved that it managed to be hot without being also graphic—although it was quite shut sometimes. This is a frank book.

As for Levi, I wish I had liked him more. He'due south a great friend and manifestly he'due south really sexy, lol. The way he flirts with Maggie is both cute and exciting, and yous can experience his dilemma when she asks him to be more than than a friend. So I tin't point out what was missing in him for me. Notwithstanding, I'm certain he's the correct volume boyfriend to most of the readers.

The story as well brings up key themes for teenagers—and why not grown-ups also—such as competition, hard work, feeling self-witting and selling oneself likewise short. In my opinion, a lot of nutrient for thought not only for a grouping reading but also for cocky-growth.

Still, the story was, in general, what one would await so I don't think it'll be that memorable. I also think the first third or quarter lost steam, which is unfortunate. What really got this rounded up to four stars was the good feeling, the smashing fun the writer managed to give me. I'k surely curious nigh the residuum of the serial—I have no idea which characters here were in the previous books!—and books written by Kenneally. I'1000 perhaps on my to becoming a fan.

Honest review based on an ARC provided by Edelweiss. Many thanks to the publisher for this opportunity.

Less Reality More Books

I have said this almost every review of a book in this series, but I don't intendance. I beloved when a new book comes out and I can sit down and rampage-read for hours, getting lost in the fantastic, sporty globe that Miranda Kenneally has created. I also dear that each volume features a different girl who's obsessed with a sport. I'm not a sporty daughter at all, so information technology's great to get a sense of how dedicated and strong you have to exist to swim, play soccer, football, play softball or train horses.

In this book, our chief character is Maggie, who is a swimmer. Information technology is her entire life. She breathes, eats, sleeps swimming, because she one day wants to get into the Olympics and that is non done by doing something in halves. I loved seeing how much she adored swimming and didn't mind waking up at 4 am to train before school, and just how passionate she was about it. I accept a new sense of respect for people competing in the Olympics, competing in any sport, afterwards this book.

This whole novel was lite and funny and and so cute. Maggie has four keen friends, who all have sports that they dearest more life itself. Levi is her best friend, and he swims with her. They were both such great characters, and had such a great romance. They're all-time friends offset and foremost, and they won't let anything stand in the way of that. Only when Maggie feels she needs experience in sure areas before she heads off to college, Levi is the one person she feels most comfortable asking for help.

This causes their once stable and steady friendship to get a little bad-mannered and a lot emotional, and they both begin to see the other in a new mode, and to beginning feeling emotions neither ever expected to feel in the other. But Miranda handles this new direction in their friendship in such a great mode and it felt and so real. There was no magic recovery, but their strong bond and friendship was more important than annihilation else, and that was the one thing they wanted to save.

This book was such a worthy edition to the Hundred Oaks series. I also loved that Jordan Forest got a bigger speaking role every bit Maggie's schoolhouse passenger vehicle, and at that place was even a special epilogue that I wasn't expected but adored.

Until next time, Hundred Oaks.

I cannot limited plenty how much I absolutely admire Miranda Kenneally's' Hundred Oaks series! They are seriously my go to books whenever I need cheering up. So when I saw Coming Upward For Air on NetGalley, I immediately pushed that request button. This novel was light, funny, charming, and with an ambrosial romance that Miranda creates everytime, along with a cracking sports background of swimming. I absoutely dear to swim!

Both Maggie and Levi were 18-carat and likeable characters. I loved the close friendship they had, and information technology definitely makes me desire my very ain Levi for myself.  Their connectedness reminded me of Sam and Jordan (my favorite couple) from the series and it made me smile. Simply now Maggie needs Levi'southward help and it involves going beyond friend levels. Things become awkward, sensitive, and emotional for these two. Sometimes I shook my head at their piffling antics, but and so I remember what it's like to be at that age once more. Oh the memories..

Not to mention Hunter and Georgia, who crawly friends to Levi and Maggie. In that location were definitely push and pull moments between the characters, merely you can't ignore matters of the middle, and it makes the ending well worth it. Plus with that special little epilogue that Miranda added in that fabricated me admittedly ecstatic with joy! Until the next Hundred Oaks take a chance.
